“Forget Me Not”, Andreas Hentrich and Ute Wöllmann
The exhibition focuses on an exploration of natural motifs, memory, and perception. The two artists approach the topic in very different ways: While Andreas Hentrich examines plants and natural forms with great precision and sensitivity in his finely detailed watercolors, Ute Wöllmann combines painterly gestures, drawing, and writing in her works to create poetic visual compositions.
The title of the exhibition refers to the forget-me-not, a plant that has been interpreted for centuries as a symbol of memory, connection, and transience. The works on display take up this motif and develop various artistic approaches from it—ranging from close observation of nature to free painterly interpretation.
